Who is eligible to become an Air Canada Skyriders member?

Children between the ages of 2 and 12 residing in either Canada or the United States are eligible to become an Air Canada Skyriders member.

How do I enrol my child in the Air Canada Skyriders program?

Visit the Air Canada Skyriders home page and click on the “Join now” button. Make sure you have his or her Aeroplan® Number handy. If they don’t already have an Aeroplan Number, we can help you join for free.

Why does my child need to have an Aeroplan account to become an Air Canada Skyriders member?

The digital fulfilment of the Air Canada Skyriders program requires an Aeroplan Number to generate travel logs and the printable travel badges corresponding to the flights in the member’s account. You may rest assured, however, that an Aeroplan membership comes at no cost and with no obligation.

I am receiving an error message when I try to enrol my child in the Air Canada Skyriders program. How should I proceed?

We recommend clearing your browser’s cache/cookies before accessing the page again. Using a different browser may also help work around the issue you are experiencing. If ever you continue to experience difficulties, you can first enrol your child as an Aeroplan Member directly on the Aeroplan website. Once this is done, you should be able to complete the Air Canada Skyriders enrolment process with the existing Aeroplan Number.

What is the cost of an Air Canada Skyriders membership?

There is no cost to become an Air Canada Skyriders member. It’s completely free.

How long can my child remain an Air Canada Skyrider?

Children can enjoy the benefits of being an Air Canada Skyriders member until their 13th birthday.

How is Air Canada Skyriders different from Aeroplan?

Air Canada Skyriders is a free service designed to make your child’s flight more exciting and enjoyable. It’s not about points or rewards; it’s about making their trip as fun as possible.

What can I expect after registering my child as an Air Canada Skyriders member?

Newly enrolled Air Canada Skyriders members will receive a welcome kit in the mail within 4-6 weeks after signing up. The kit includes an introduction letter, luggage tag and a logbook to keep a record of their flight experiences, along with collectible stickers received on board flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express® and Air Canada Rouge®. Your child will also receive electronic badges to commemorate the flights approximately two weeks after travel if his or her Aeroplan Number is included in your reservation. Travel logs and electronic badges will be available on your child’s dashboard, which is accessible once logged in to the Skyriders portal.

How do I add my child’s Aeroplan Number to an existing reservation?

You can reach one of our representatives at 1-888-247-2262 to add your child’s Aeroplan Number to their existing reservation. If you have booked your flights with a travel agent, you may have to contact them to assist you with this.

I just enrolled my child, but we have travelled together in the past. Can these badges be sent to his/her account retroactively?

We can’t generate badges retroactively for travel completed before enrolment in Air Canada Skyriders. However, if your child is missing badges for flights flown after becoming a member, you can claim them by sending a retro-credit request to Aeroplan.

Will my child receive electronic badges for all the flights flown?

Travel logs and electronic badges will be generated for flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge. Flights booked with Aeroplan Miles are excluded from the Air Canada Skyriders program at this time.

I forgot my child’s Aeroplan Number or password. How can I retrieve or reset it?

Visit the Aeroplan website and click on “Login”. Follow the instructions to retrieve an Aeroplan Number or to reset a password.
